Eva Grover to enter Jhansi Ki Rani

Zee's Jhansi Ki Rani continues to keep its audience glued even after the leap and the show is doing extremely well.


The latest is that, Eva Grover is set to enter Jhansi Ki Rani.


When contacted Eva, she confirmed the news saying, "Yes, I am shooting for this most popular show on TV now and it's an amazing cameo. As of now the character I am playing is mother of Manu aka Rani Laxmibai. She was dead while Manu was small. Now the track will show Manu witnessing her mother and Manu's mother will help Manu to get out of trouble. She will tell her who is what in industry."


Eva was last seen in Do Saheliyan. If her character in Jhansi Ki Rani gets a good response then it may get an extension.

F.I.R. has a new team mate

She may have fulfilled her desire to enact a negative character as Rani’s (Anjali Abrol) step-mother, Chandrakala Chahi, in Raja Ki Ayegi Baraat, but Guddi Maruti will always remain popular for her comic roles, like her recent stint in Jugni Chali Jalandhar, as the ultra-superstitious ‘Titli Mausi’. She is now back on the small screen, doing what she does best – making the audience laugh. This time, she joins hands with the F.I.R. team.

"Guddi Maruti will soon be seen as the very funny character of a mother-in-law, who loves her daughter-in-law. Since both saas and bahu love each other, the show has a flavour distinctly different from what we see nowadays," says our source.

Guddi confirmed this news. "It was fun to work with the F.I.R. team. We had a lot of fun on the sets," she says. "The sequence goes something like this – our neighbour files a case against my bahu and me, accusing us of hitting him without a reason. My bahu and I pretend to love each other, to prove that we are not like other people. The story progresses, when Chandermukhi Chautala solves the case with her own unique technique," adds the comedienne.

We look forward to this saas-bahu saga, for a change.

Pankaj to remarry in Imagine's Jyoti...

Pankaj aka Sarwar Ahuja in NDTV Imagine's Jyotihas moved on in life, after getting the divorce papers signed by Jyoti (Sneha Wagh).

His family is now thinking of getting him married again, and Pankaj actually accepts the decision. There will soon be a new girl in Pankaj's life, and entering the show will be Sonia Singh.

Sonia Singh is presently seen in the role of Dr. Kirti in Star One's Dill Mill Gaye.

According to our source, "Sonia Singh has started shoot, and her entry will be aired on Monday. Her character name is Neelam, whose family accepts Pankaj as their son-in-law. Soon the roka ceremony of Pankaj and Neelam will be shown, and their marriage will also happen".

The upcoming track will focus on Pankaj and Jyoti taking their individual stands for their future.

Giving more detail on Neelam's character, our source states, "Neelam will neither be a completely positive nor a negative character. She will react differently depending on the situations she is put into".

Confirming the news Sonia Singh told us, "Yes, I have started shooting. However, you need to watch the show to know more about my character".

Swati, Aashka Goradia in Laagi Tujhse Lagan

The COLORS show Laagi Tujhse Lagan, produced by Playtime Creations saw the entry of its main lead Dutta Patil (Mishal Raheja) last night. In the coming weeks, viewers will see Dutta Patil's family too entering.

Dutta Patil has a loving mother and three sisters, of whom two are married and one is unmarried.

According to our source, " who was last seen playing Thakuraiyan in Star Plus Mitwa – Phool Kamal Ke will essay the role of Dutta's mom. Popular actress Aashka Goradia will play the eldest sister of Dutta who is married. The actor to play Dutta's two other sisters have not been finalized".

"The youngest sister of Dutta will also have a love angle with Dutta's right hand Bajirao (Vinay Rohrra)," adds our source.

When contacted, Swati Chitnis confirmed the news and said, " Yes its true that I am playing the loving and protective mother of Dutta. Dutta is the apple of my eye, and mine is a long running role. As the story develops, I will go on to like Nakusha (Mahi Vij) too".

We tried calling Aashka Goradia but she remained unavailable. Aashka was last seen in Sony's Specials @10.

Vibha Anand in Sukh by Chance

Vibha Anand once again associates with JD Majethia's Hats Off Productions the second time after Shree with Sukh by Chance...

According to our source "She will be playing the girl opposite to Amit Mehta, played by Anuj Thakur. Now the track is that Amit Mehta's mom has some eye problem and they need to have an eye surgery done. Vibha Anand's father is a doctor and runs a hospital. He also happens to be an eye surgeon, so Vibha tells to the Mehta family that she will get the appointment for Amit's mother."

Vibha Anand says,"I am playing the character of Namrata. A rich girl who is in love with Amit Mehta. They also happen to be medical students studying in the same college. Everybody in the Mehta family is not aware that Amit and I are in love with each other."

Abhinav Shukla's entry adds spice to Chhoti Bahu...

Rubina Dilaik's recent illness has surely made her fans go sad!! But one person who has benefited the most out of it is Priyanka Mishrawho plays Vishaka in Zee TV and DJ Creative Unit's Chhoti Bahu.

According to our source, "The main track will focus on Vishaka now, and the start to this has already been shown with the entry of model turned actor Abhinav Shukla. The guy plays Vishaka's love interest, and has come to Vrindavan looking for her".

Abhinav Shukla plays Vikram, a rich and smart guy from Mumbai. The buzz is that he is from the film industry, and Vishaka had got into a relationship with him when she had earlier been to Mumbai to seek a future as actor.

However, the entire track of Vikram and his identity has been kept a secret, as there is a big high point to come as the guy is somehow or the other related to the Purohit family. "Not much of a track has been developed as far as Vishaka-Vikram story goes, but there is a possibility that Vishaka will be shown pregnant with the guy's kid. The big twist will be when the main motive of this guy's entry will be revealed", adds our source.

When contacted, Priyanka Mishratold us, "I don't know much about his character. All that I know is that he plays Vikram, my love interest. But what surprises me is that he is also related to Purohit family in some way".

Abhinav Shukla who entered the show last Friday was also clueless about the manner in which his track will proceed. "I have been told that I have come from Mumbai to Vrindavan, and will have a track going with Vishaka. Other than this, I have not been told anything".

The buzz is that Abhinav's character might turn out to be negative as the story unfolds. "As of now, Vikram's character is neutral, he is neither positive nor negative", further states our source.

Well, loyal audience of Chhoti Bahu can look forward to one big drama now…

Two new entries in Miley Jab Hum Tum..

Star One's Miley Jab Hum Tum, jointly produced by Sunshine Productions and Endemol will soon see the entry of two youngsters, who will bring with them a new twist to the tale.

Nishant Malkani, a degree holder from the IIM, Kolkata is the new parallel lead entering the show. Along with him, will be seen Anupriya Kapoor, who was earlier selected to play the role of Kanchan in Balaji's Sony show, Bayttaab Dil Kee Tamanna Hai.

According to our source, "Adhiraj and Suhaani (Nishant and Anupriya) will be the new entrants to the college. Their main agenda in getting into the college during the mid term of the year and their back stories will unfold as the track progresses. Adhiraj and Suhaani's entries will happen one after the other, and soon they will become friends and will be the next couple to look forward to in the show".

Elaborating on their characters, our source informs "Adhiraj aka Nishant Malkani will be a mix of Samrat and Mayank and will possess the positive qualities of both. He is a very good looking guy, who comes from a small town. He is traditional in his values, but is another cool dude in the making. On the other hand, Suhaani is a NRI, who has come from abroad to join the college. However, she will be seen wearing traditional dresses, yet will be punky and vivacious".

When contacted, Nishant Malkani confirmed his entry, and said "Yes, I have shot for the promos, and will be starting shoot in the next two days. I am a Delhiite, but have done by Management Course in Kolkata. This is my first show on television. I am really excited to be a part of this show".

Anupriya Kapoor also confirmed that she has been finalized for the role. "All is final, but we have not yet finished the paper work. We will be starting shoot soon", she said.

According to our source, "As the track unfolds it will get revealed that either Adhiraj or Suhaani will be related to Samrat in some way or the other".

Nishant and Anupriya Kapoor will be starting shoot in a day or two, and their entries will be aired sometime next week.

Ashwini Kalsekar to enter Bairi Piya..

Ashwini Kalsekar, popularly known as Jigyasa of Kasamh Se is back with Balaji Telefilms, as she enters their COLORS show Bairi Piya.

According to our source, "Though much on the track ahead has not been decided, Ashwini Kalsekar happens to be the widow of Thakur Digvijay Singh's (Sharad Kelkar) elder brother. As per the custom in the family, she marries the youngest son of the house. This character will be played by Aadesh Chaudhary".

When contacted, Ashwini said, "To be honest, nothing is decided right now. I am busy with my film, and will be shooting for that till the 5th of November. So let's see how everything goes".

We called Aadesh Chaudhary who was earlier seen in Veeranwali, Banoo Main Teri Dulhann, Kumkum, who said, "I am right now not in Mumbai. Please call me later".

Manit Joura to enter Zee's Karol Bagh...

Zee TV's 12/24 Karol Bagh, produced by Sunshine Productions will see the entry of a guy in the life of Neetu Sethi, played by Sargun Mehta.

According to our source, "A relatively new face to television, Manit Joura will play the love interest of Neetu in the show".

Manit Joura was earlier seen on television in the Star Plus reality show, Aaja Mahi Vay where he partnered Manika Dandha. The guy later took part in the Gladrags Megamodel Manhunt 2008. He has been the Brand Ambassador for Brunch Magazine for four years now. Manit has been walking the ramps, and has been seen in various fashion shows. He was part of the 'Ungli Uthao Vote Karo' campaign where he was seen along with John Abraham. He has recently shot for Godrej Hair Color ad which will be on air in the next few weeks.

According to our source, "The story line of Karol Bagh has been Simi centric till now. But with the entry of Vicky aka Manit Joura, the focus will also be on the love life of Neetu, sister of Simi (Smriti Kalra)".

Elaborating on Vicky's character, our source states, "Vicky is a very confident macho man with a great physique. Neetu and Vicky bump into each other in an event, and it is kind of love at first sight for Neetu. Neetu will basically learn a lot of lessons as this relationship blossoms. Not much has been decided on the future story line though".

We called Manit Joura, who said, "Yes, I have been in talks with them. But I have not started shoot yet, so cannot tell anything as of now".

Manit will be starting shoot in a day or two, and his entry is expected this Friday or early next week.

Jhumar gets a man in her life..

COLORS' show Naa Aana is Des Laado, produced by Shakuntalam Telefilms has reached a new high with it being the #2 show across GEC with a TVR as high as 6.0.

The show will be seeing a new entry tonight in the form of Dheeraj, played by an actor Dhruv who was earlier seen in Star Plus' Santaan.

According to our source, "Jhumar (Shaikha) whose identity has been revealed has not been accepted by her father, and to top it all, Ammaji will spell doom on the girl. Dheeraj who comes into the house as Ammaji's cousin sister's son will be the one who will sympathize with the girl. Dheeraj is a well educated guy, and has come to the house to take care of the accounts. Ammaji trusts him and hands over the entire accounts work to him. As the track unfolds, Dheeraj will fall in love with Jhumar".

Ashlesha Sawant to enter Pavitra Rishta..

Ashlesha Sawant, popularly known as Tara Bhabhi in Zee TV's Saat Phere is back!! The talented actress will now be entering Zee TV and Balaji Telefilms' Pavitra Rishta very soon..

The nice professional cum close relationship of Varsha and her boss will no more remain sweet, with the revelation coming in that Mr. Sagar (Amit Sareen), Varsha's boss is actually a married man!!

Ashlesha Sawant will play the wife of Sagar (Amit Sareen). She is a typical business woman who has just got back from Australia to be with her husband. She is not aware of the budding love between her husband and Varsha (Priya Marathe). The manner in which all this unfolds will be interesting to watch. However, there will be a twist to the tale wherein it will be revealed that Urmila (Ashlesha Sawant) has a big connection from the past with Varsha's family.

When contacted, Ashlesha confirmed the news and said, "Yes, I play the wife of Amit Sareen in Pavitra Rishta. She is a typical business woman. But there is an interesting past connected to her character. I have shot for just one day, and am now out of town. I will resume shoot very soon".

Neil Bhatt to enter Karol Bagh..

Zee TV's 12/24 Karol Bagh, produced by Sunshine Productions will see the entry of its first male lead in Neil Bhatt.

According to our source, "Neil Bhatt who has earlier done Arsalaan and Jo Ishq Ki Marzi Woh Rab Ki Marzi, will be seen entering the show. He will be cast opposite Simi Seth, played by Smriti Kalra".

Abhinav played by Neil Bhatt happens to be the brother of Anita who is to get married to Anuj. Anita's parents put a condition that only if Simi, who is elder to Anuj gets married, they will get their daughter married to Anuj. So this forces Simi to agree to her marriage with Rajeev, who she very well knows is a womanizer. In addition to all this, Anita's family is upset about Anuj's family not being rich, and all this is worrying Anita. This is when Anita calls her brother, Abhi who lives abroad to come down to help her talk to her parents.

When contacted, Neil Bhatt confirmed the news and said, "I will be seen in a different look, in t-shirts with high collars. My character name is Abhinav, usually prefer to be called Abhi. He is a very chilled out guy, flamboyant and independent. I am a person whose ideologies do not match with what my parents think".

"I have always done something different, from being the super hero to the villager. I now play a guy of my age, and that really excites me", Neil further adds.

We called Producer Sudhir Sharma who said, "We chose Neil Bhatt because we needed someone who looks younger to Simi. With this track, we will be entering into a new territory, a kind of relation which is a taboo in our society".

Neil Bhatt has started shooting for the show, and his entry is expected either today or tomorrow!!

Karan Wahi, Neha Jhulka and Sehban to enter Dill Mill Gayye..

Star One's Dill Mill Gayye, produced by Cinevistaas is roping in a fresh cast to play the new interns in the show.

According to our source, "There will be four entries happening, of which three names have been finalized. Karan Wahi of Remix fame who is presently seen in COLORS' Mere Ghar Aayi Ek Nanhi Pari has been finalized to play one intern. Neha Jhulka, the model cum actress who was seen in the movie Kaise Kahein will be the second intern. Newcomer Sehban Azim will be playing the third intern. The handsome hunk has been part of many commercial ads like TVS Victor, TVS Scooty etc".

"The fourth intern will again be a girl. She will in all likelihood be a new comer", adds our source.

Neha Jhulka was earlier shortlisted to play the female lead in Cinevistaas upcoming show on Star One, Kya Yahi Pyaar Hai. When called, Neha told us, "Nothing is finalized as of now. I will be able to speak to you in few days' time".

We tried calling Karan Wahi, but he remained unavailable for comments. The actor's present show Mere Ghar Aayi Ek Nanhi Pari will be ending on September 4th.

According to our source, "This new track has been introduced to get a breather of sorts from the routine faces that have been seen in the show till now. However, Karan Singh Grover will be part of the show, and there is no change in that".

The new interns will be starting shoot sometime next week.

New entry in Bidaai..

Star Plus and Rajan Shahi's Sapna Babul Ka.. Bidaai is reaching its anti-climax as regards to the mystery clouding the reason behind Dadaji's death, and Alekh's troubled past.

The present track has Ranveer (Kinshuk Mahajan) and Sadhana (Sara Khan) moving ahead in their mission by catching hold of each and every clue they have been getting. One such clue will ultimately lead them to Indrajeet Rajvansh's (Avinash Wadhawan) Bua, who will enter the story line as the very important person who has all answers to the questions raised by Ranveer and Sadhana.

The role of the Bua will be played by Sulekshna Sekhri who was earlier seen playing the role of Teji Nani in Star Plus' Grihasti. The lady has an important yet lovable role to play, and she will be a precursor to solving the entire mystery.

We called actress Sulkeshna who confirmed the news and said, "Yes, I am going to play a Bua's character in the show. It is a very interesting character. However, I cannot reveal anything on the track. You need to wait and watch".

The actress was also seen in Sahara One's Doli Saja Ke.

The coming episodes,we will see Ranveer and Ragini's reunion, which will be followed by the big revelation that will happen in the Rajvansh family.

Dadi-sa is getting younger in Balika Vadhu!

Balika Vadhu will now roll the story in flashback, to the time when Dadisa is young. Rather than working on hiding Surekha Sikhri’s wrinkles, the serial has roped in a new actor who is a look-alike of dadisa’s younger days.

Heeba Shah will now be essaying young Dadisa in Balika Vadhu. Surekha Sikhri is her maternal aunt and Heeba, has inherited the acting genes from the genius Naseeruddin Shah.

Because of her striking resemblance with her aunt, she got the significant cameo in the show. According to our source, Surekha was unaware of the fact that her niece is playing her younger version. She was spotted by the creative team while she was working in a short film by RS Vikal. She has always been associated to theaters and has done short films before this.

Track of Retro-Dadisa promises some more eyeballs for the serial!

New entry in Pavitra Rishta...

Zee TV's Pavitra Rishta, produced by Balaji Telefilms has been doing fabulously well on the TRP charts. After the dramatic revelations on the day of wedding of Archana (Ankita Lokhande) and Manav (Sushant Singh Rajput), the show is now entering its next phase.

With this, begins a parallel track which will focus on the office life of Varsha (Priya Marathe). There will also be a new entry in the form of Varsha's boss, and the actor making his entry in the show is Kunal Thakkur who was earlier seen playing the role of Sanket in the very first story of Balaji Telefilms' Koi Aane Ko Hai on COLORS.

The actor Kunal confirmed this news and said, "Yes, I will be entering in Pavitra Rishta. The character has a very mysterious look to it; initially the guy pretends to be a very understanding and nice boss to Varsha, but there is a motive behind everything he does".

Eventually he will trap Varsha in many problems, but you have to wait and watch how the story unfolds. There is also a possibility of this guy and Varsha getting hooked later in the show, but the creative team is still working on the scripts.

Kunal was also seen as Balram in Ekta's Mahabhaarat on 9X. It is heard that Ekta Kapoor was so much impressed with Kunal's acting in Koi Aane Ko Hai, that she immediately chose him to play this character.

His entry will be aired tonight.

Swarg gets its first few cameos...

Rajan Shahi's recently launched show on COLORS, Maat Pitaah Ke Charnon Mein Swarg will see its first few cameos being introduced in the story line.

Keeping with the trend of having short yet important cameos, that kicked off with his other two shows on Star Plus Bidaai and Yeh Rishta, Rajan Shahi brings in a father and daughter cameo in Swarg which will be of great relevance to the story track.

Making her comeback to television is Snigdha Srivastav, who played the main lead in COLORS' Rahe Tera Aashirwaad. Playing her father will be noted Marathi actor Deepak Deewoolkar, who played the eldest brother Virat Sharma, in the Star Plus' afternoon show, Jahan Tera Basera Ho.

About the storyline,"Snigdha plays a simple girl Jaya, who will be the prospective suitor of Shubh (Pracheen Chauhan), the eldest son of the Tripathi family".

Confirming this news is Snigdha who said, "I play the simple yet strong girl Jaya. Mine will be a cameo for four episodes, but all will depend on the viewers' reaction to this cameo. I am very excited to play this role, and have started my shoot. I had got offers for many cameos after Rahe Teraa Aashirwaad, but when I got this offer from Rajan Shahi's production house, I grabbed it immediately".

Deepak Dewoolkar essays the character of Govardhan Pandey, Jaya's father in the show. The father and daughter come into the picture when talks of Jaya's marriage to Shubh come to the fore.

Deepak Deewoolkar said, "Rajan Shahi is a brilliant director and producer, with a knack of presenting things affirmatively. I had got few opportunities in the past to play a main character in Yeh Rishta, but could not take it up then, as I was busy with Jahan Pe Basera Ho. After that, I got another opportunity to be part of his show, but could not give it a shot as I had developed an allergic rash due to a spirit gum used. However, when I got this cameo offer I was bit apprehensive to start with, but when I heard the narration of the role, I decided to go for it".

Talking about his role, Deepak quips, "Govardhan is a very good man with principles, and as every father would want, he wishes to wed his daughter in a very good family. When the offer of Shubh who happens to be the son of Satyanarayan comes for his daughter, he is very excited to go ahead with the alliance".

However, our source informs us that there will be a twist in the tale. "As everything shapes up well for the alliance of Shubh and Jaya, there comes a twist wherein certain situations force the girl's father who is otherwise soft, spoken to get wild and harsh on the boy's family. This will come as a tremendous shock to the audience".

Nishant Shaukeen enters Laado

Nishant Shaukeen is the new entrant in COLORS’ show- Naa Aana Is Desh Laado, produced by Shakuntalam Telefilms. He was earlier seen in NDTV Imagine’s Dehleez.

Talking about his role, Nishant says, “The character’s name is Vijay Prakash Chautala. He is the old flame of Santosh, but because of some circumstances they couldn’t get married. He thinks Santosh is very happy in her new life but comes to know about the reality when he enters her house to meet Ammaji. He is very positive and it is a strong cameo as of now.”

When asked about his entry he states, “I come to Santosh’s house to meet Ammaji. She informs Santosh that someone from her house has come to meet her. This is how we meet each other.”

Jay Bhanushali to enter Iss Jungle...

Jay Bhanushali the chocolate boy of television will now be seen doing daring tasks in the jungles of Malaysia, as he is all set to enter Sony's Iss Jungle Se Mujhe Bachao next week.

With Shweta Tiwari staging a walkout, the channel has decided to send in their next celebrity wild card in Jay Bhanushali. He will be entering in the coming Monday's episode. Jay who had recently gone on a trip to Bangkok developed a liking to indulge in dangerous sports; hence he gave it a nod as soon as he was approached for Iss Jungle.

Jay was recently seen hosting the very successful reality show on Zee TV, Dance India Dance. He was last also seen in a cameo role in Star Plus' Kis Desh.

Madhura Naik to enter Bhaskar Bharti..

Madhura Naik seems to be a busy actress these days, with quite a number of shows in her kitty!! After we reported recently that she will play the role of Motibai in Zee's upcoming show Rani Lakshmi Bai, the actress has bagged yet another role, and will soon be entering Sony's light-hearted show Bhaskar Bharti. This new role comes as a birthday gift for Madhura who turned a year older on 19th July.

Confirming the news, Madhura says, "My screen name is Annu. I play the daughter of Amarjeet, who is Bharti's boss at office. My character is very modern, and as the track moves, I give a tough time to Bharti. Later on, there will be a love triangle between Armaan, Bharti and Annu".

Madhura will enter in the coming week when Bharti gets to know that Gyaan and Raichura are behind the sabotage. She accidentally dashes into Annu and lands up fighting with her. Annu asks Amarjeet how Bharati can be appointed without consulting Bhaskar, and that what will happen when Bhaskar returns. She argues that both brother and sister cannot be on the board. Amarjeet agrees and insists that he will talk to Bhaskar before giving the cheque and appointment letter to Bharti.

Also entering the show will be Bhaskar's parents. Noted actor Lalit Parimoo will play Bhaskar's dad while Vaishnavi plays his mom. The couple will now come to Mumbai to stay with Bhaskar aka Bharti..
