Ladies Special comes to a halt..

Sony and Optimystix'Ladies Specialwill soon be going off air, as the channel is all set for yet another major revamp.

According to our source, "Ladies Special has always remained the #1 show of Sony when it came to the strong content it had. But all the critical acclaim could not give the show good ratings.Ladies Special will go off air in December, and in all probability Edit II's upcoming show Jeet Jayenge Hum might replace it".

Confirming the news, Sanjiv Sharma of Optimystix tells us, "Yes,Ladies Special will be going off air soon, but the channel has not decided on the date as of now. We will be giving an open end to all our characters, as the channel has plans of coming up with a Season 2 sooner or later".

The show very recently saw the introduction of a new pair in Sreejita De and Shailesh Gulabani.

We will not wait for an official announcement on this…

Basera going off air

NDTV Imagine and Sagar Arts' Basera has been shown the exit door.

According to our source, "Since a month back, seeing the appalling state of TRPs, the show was under the scanner. The budget of the show, thanks to the huge star cast was very high and was not giving good returns with the TRPs. The production house and channel had a meeting and came to a conclusion that if the show could cut down on budget then they would allow it sustenance for a few more months but on a different time slot, which is why authorities kept denying reports of Basera going off air inspite of Raaz- Pichle Janam Ka promos showing that it would be aired in Basera's time slot of 9:30pm. But seems like the solution was not feasible."

The source adds, "Another problem was that the TRPs were good only when Ram Kapoor and Pallavi Subhash were focused. When Priya Bhatija and Amit Jain's love-story took over, the ratings dropped. Maybe audiences wanted more focus on the original concept of the show- 'children turning against their parents'. To top this, the saving grace of the show Ram Kapoor had date problems from 5th December as he is the host for Rahul Ka Swayamvar which has its sets outside Mumbai. So obviously, Ram couldn't afford to shuttle back and forth. He needed a definite break from Basera. This means the creatives had to manage with a parallel track. But with the shows TRP hopes pinned solely on Ram, the channel didn't think Basera would improve at all in Ram's absence. All this finally made the channel back-off from running the show."

So now the decision has been made to chuck Basera. The tentative date scheduled for the show to go off air 4th is December.

Bhaago KK ends abruptly

You must be wondering that, Bhaago KK Aaya, the sitcom which aired on SAB TV was not been aired since one week due to a new venture of the channel i.e. Lapataganj. But let us clear the doubts for the viewers that the show been pulled off air due to some reasons.

Our close source disclosed the reasons , “The show has has been pulled off by the channel as it was not doing well since long time and the TRP’s of the show were leaning downwards compared to other shows on the channel. Another reason was for adjustment of the new show.”

“It is not for the first time that this show has gone off air, earlier this show was pulled off air to adjust some other projects. But for this time the show has finally ended and has left with no reason to come back on the channel,” khabroo added.

Any ways even if the show is off air people will definitely enjoy their KK on Shree Adi Manav in a different avatar, isn’t it?

Jugni Chali Jalandhar to go off air?

The latest buzz to surround SAB TV is that their comedy show Jugni Chali Jalandhar is finally going off air to replace some another comedy venture on the channel. Jugni Chali…has completed one year with love and support of audience but now it may be the time to say good bye to all due to the dipping TRP’s.

Muskaan Mehani aka Jugni of the show informs us, “(Laugh) Well frankly speaking I have completed 201 episodes of this show and still I have not received any official notice that the show is going off air but on other side the buzz is in the air from last 3 months.”

“Lets see what comes next as you never know what will happen in this field. Thus, I am prepared to face everything that comes my way. I am working hard and will definitely get what I want,” actress added.

When asked about the TRP’s and response that the show gets, she replied, “The TRP’s are good and our work for promotions are also going well. Recently we went to Chandigarh for our promotions and I got enormous response from the people. But still we never know what comes next.”

Zee's Shree to end on November 12th..

Zee TV's longest running daily thriller Shree, produced by Hats Off Productions will go off air on 12th November 2009.

According to our source, "The shoot for the show will wrap up on the 10th or 11th of November, and the last airing date will be 12th November. The story will see a memorable climax, which will be presented in an amazing and marvelous manner. For the last few episodes, Shalini Kapoor will be playing an important cameo, of a God Woman who saves Shree and her family from all obstacles".

When contacted, Shalini Kapoor confirms her cameo in Shree saying, "I have always been inclined to playing such Godly roles on television. After Jai Maa Durga, this is a very good opportunity to play a God Woman".

Elaborating on her role, Shalini Kapoor states, "I am God incarnate who comes in the form of a Sanyasin to help Shree in warding off the evil forces. My screen name is Devika".

When asked whether her role will facilitate a good ending to the show, the actress was unaware of this. "I am not aware whether the show is ending or not. But mine is a cameo, and I just know that".

We called Producer J.D. Majethia, who said, "I have no idea about it. We are planning on certain things. There is also a possibility that our show can be moved to weekend slot. We are waiting for the channel decision".

However, our source re-confirms that, "Shree is surely going off air on 12th November. The new Rajshri show Yahaan Mein Ghar Ghar Kheli is tipped to take the 10.30 PM slot, but nothing is finalized as of now".

When contacted, Kavita Barjatya of Rajshri Productions said, "The time slot and date of launch of our new show is yet to be decided. I suggest you can talk to the channel authority as it is their call".

Doli Saja Ke to end on November 13th..

Sahara One's Doli Saja Ke, produced by Aroona Irani's A.K. Films will soon come to a logical end.

According to our source, "Doli Saja Ke which has Indraneil Sengupta and Barkha Bisht as leads will end on November 13th".

When contacted, Producer Aroona Irani confirmed the same and said, "Doli Saja Ke has had its good phase, and the show will be ending on November 13th".

Indraneil Sengupta who plays the protagonist Daksh says, "We are not aware of the exact date, but yes, Doli Saja Ke is certainly ending in November. It will be a happy ending of course for the couple".

Aroona Irani's A.K. Films will be coming up with a new show on Sahara One, which will launch sometime in December.

Confirming this, Aroonaji told, "We don't know as of now whether our new show will get a daily or a biweekly slot. But yes, we have a new show coming on Sahara One, the concept of which I don't want to talk about now".

Kitni Mohabbat Hai will go off-air..

We all know that Balaji’s venture Kitni Mohabbat Hai on NDTV Imagine is soon to conclude soon. Well the final date of the show going off air has been declared and it will end, this month itself.

“The show is going off air on 25 September. There will be a high drama between Arjun and Arohi at the end,” states our khabroo.

Elaborating more on the storyline our source adds, “Definitely being a love story it’s going to be a happy ending, wherein Arjun and Arohi will come together forever. Arohi and her sisters will unite too in the end.”

“This show will be replaced by the upcoming reality show, Pati Patni Aur Woh, which will start from 28 September on Monday at 10:30 pm,” concludes the source.

Jai Shri Krishna makes way for Bairi Piya..

COLORS' Jai Shri Krishna, which beautifully depicted the story of God Krishna's childhood adventures will now be coming to an end!!

The promos of Balaji Telefilms' first daily on COLORS, Bairi Piya are being aired for quite a long time now, and it is now certain that Ekta's show will be launching on 21st September at the 8.30 PM slot, thus putting an end to Jai Shri Krishna's journey.

Confirming the news of Jai Shri Krishna's exit, Producer Meenakshi Sagar quotes, "Yes, Jai Shri Krishna will be ending on the high note of Kans vadhan. According to a research done, we got to know that viewers might not be interested in seeing another version of Mahabharat on television, and if we continued, we would be showing only that. So we have decided to end it with the vadh of Kans".

Amrit Sagar too confirmed the same and said, "Jai Shri Krishna will be ending this Friday, i.e. September 18th".

Bairi Piya which will now launch on 21st September has Supriya Kumari and Sharad Kelkar as leads..

Kitani Mohabbat Hai tipped to go off air...

There is a strong buzz that Balaji Telefilms show on NDTV Imagine, Kitani Mohabbat Hai will be shutting shop very soon.

The show which launched on January 19th 2009 had the romantic flavor that promised a lot, but somewhere down the line could not amass the ratings that the channel was wanting.

No doubt, the lead protagonists of the show Karan Kundra and Kritika Kamra became a talk of the town, both for their on screen as well as off screen chemistry, but their fan following did not reflect in way of TRP's.

According to our source, "The show will most likely see its end on 25th September, 2009. The poor TRPs have resulted in the early closure of the show".

We called lead actor Karan Kundra, who rubbished the news though and said, "I have been hearing this news for the past six months. As far as I know, we have a long story line in place; I don't have any idea if the show is going off air".

We tried calling Hiten Tejwani who plays Karan Singh, but he too was clueless and said, "I have no idea about this; you better talk to the production house".

We called Shailja Kejriwal, EVP Content, NDTV Imagine, who vehemently said, "No, the show is not going off air. We are just getting to the end of one particular track".

With a lot of new and differentiated fiction shows lined up, we never know what the channel's final decision would be!!

Well, only time will tell whether the buzz has some face to it or not!!

Sach ka Saamna makes way for Perfect Bride

It’s a major shuffle in Star Plus. Sach ka Saamna will gracefully bow down and make its exit to let Perfect Bride take over.

Rajeev Khandelwal hosted Sach Ka Saamna which is now running at the 11 pm slot will end on September 18th. Perfect Bride will be launched on 12th September at 10 pm slot and from the subsequent Monday, that is 14th September onwards Perfect Bride will air Monday to Friday at the 10:30 pm slot, wherein the repeat telecast of Mitwa Phool Kamal Ke is presently aired.

Perfect Bride on weekdays that is Monday to Friday will run as a half hour show until 18th September. Owing to the exit of Sach Ka Saamna on 18th September, rom 21st September onwards, Perfect Bride will run for one hour on weekdays that is from 10:30-11:30. On the whole Perfect Bride will be a unique show that runs all through the week.

Confirming on Sach Ka Saamna's exit from Star Plus Anupama Mandloi, Senior Creative Director, Star Plus, says, "Yes, Sach Ka Saamna is ending on the 18th of September and Perfect Bride will go on for an hour."

Perfect Bride which launches on 12th September will have bog names Malaika Arora Khan, Shekar Suman and Amrita Rao as judges.

As Star Plus gets rolling with its ultimate search for the Perfect Bride, audience will be keen to know how the show fares.

Shubh Kadam to end...

After Kismat Connection and Ghar Ek Sapnaa, it is the turn of Cinevistaas' Shubh Kadam to shut shop on Sahara One. The show is set to end on September 11th.

A reliable source from the channel confirmed that, "There is a possibility for Mr. and Mrs. Mishra, the new thriller of Anubhav Sinha to take the slot of Shubh Kadam. However, there is yet another opening as Ghar Ek Sapnaa is also slated to end in the last week of August".

The show recently saw the exit of the lead Pratik Shukla and is presently focusing on the trials and tribulations of the widow, Pratha.

We tried calling Mushtaq Sheikh, Creative Director of Sahara One, but he remained unavailable for comments..

Chittod Ki Rani Padmini Ka Johur to end!

Niten Desai’s most costly show on television, Chittod Ki Rani Padmini Ka Johur is all set to conclude in September. The show started with a bang, but it flopped in the TRP countdown.

As per the sources, “The show is not ending abruptly, but the creative team is now trying to wind-up the story as soon as possible. Rani Padmini failed to fetch the TRP’s and thus it is concluding shortly. They all shot for their last episode on 2 August i.e. Sunday.”

“There had been lots of money spent on the lavish sets and the whole attire of the show including the haveli’s, costumes jewelry etc. The show was launched in competition to Balika Vadhu, but as we know rest is history,” adds the source.

Shaurya Aur Suhani to go off air...

The verdict on Sphere Origins' mega budget fantasy based show on Star Plus, Shaurya Aur Suhani is out!! The show which started on March 21st has failed to grab the attention of audience, and this shows in its very low TRPs. As a result of this, the show will now be taken off air…

As per our reliable source, "The unit of Shaurya Aur Suhani has got the ultimatum from the channel. The date given to them is 16th August, but all depends on the availability of the next show to replace it. However, it is confirmed that the show will go off air by August".

When contacted, Producer Sunjoy Wadhwa admitted to the news and said, "Yes, the show is going off air by mid August".

The show that focuses on the fight against injustice and a story about love and pride has Saurabh Pandey and Sriti Jha playing the lead roles.

Zee's Betiyaan gets an extension of few weeks..

Zee TV's Ghar Ki Lakshmi Betiyaan which was earlier to end on the 13th of August has got an extension of few more weeks.

The show will now end on 27th August, and will have a happy ending. Jhanvi and her family will unite to live happily, while Yuvraj gets back home and Pavitra is thrown out of the house forever.

Confirming on the extension that Betiyaan has got, Mandar Oak, Supervising Producer, Creative Eye says, "Betiyaan will now end on 27th August. Our unit was like a big family, and we will miss working with each other. It was a beautiful experience being part of the show".

Taking the slot of 10 PM from 31st August will be Sunshine Productions' new show 12/24..…Karol Bagh.

Creative Eye's Maayka on Zee TV is also slated for an end on the 14th of August, and will be replaced by Contiloe's Jhansi Ki Rani which launches on 18th August at the 8 PM slot.

Jeevan Saathi to go off air..

COLORS' Jeevan Saathi which tracks the trials and tribulations of Viraj (Vani Sharma) will see its logical end very soon.

Jeevan Saathi had been under the scanner for quite a while, but now the decision to wrap up the show has been taken. The show is all set to wind up in the first week of September. COLORS has many new concepts in the pipeline, hence this change was essential.

"The unit and actors have not been officially informed about the closure, but they will get to know very soon", informs our source.

We tried to get confirmation from Producer Hemal Thakkar of Playtime Creations, but he refused to comment. We could not get any confirmation from the officials of the channel till the time we filed the story.

Ghar Ek Sapnaa to end..

Sahara One's one of the long running shows, Ghar Ek Sapnaa, produced by Ananda Telefilms is the next to bite the dust, after we reported about Kismat Connection winding up.

The present track focuses on the confusion caused in the family owing to Kakul's look-alike Damini being in the house. Slowly the track will proceed towards the real Kakul (Anisha Kapoor) getting back into consciousness. This will eventually pave way for a logical conclusion of the show.

Confirming this news Producer Ajai Sinha said, "Yes, Ghar Ek Sapnaa will be ending in early September".

"The creative team is busy working on the script for the final track. The shooting for the show is most likely to end around the 20th of August, and the last episode will be aired around the 12th of September", adds our source.

Kismat Connection and Ghar Ek Sapna will make way for two news shows on Sahara, Ganesh Leela produced by Creative Eye and Anubhav Sinha's thriller, Mr. and Mrs. Mishra

Jaane Kya Baat Hui to go off air on June 5th..

COLORS' show Jaane Kya Baat Hui, produced by Cinevistaas, which focused on the story of a diligent and loving housewife, whose life gets shattered when she gets to know of her husband's adultery in marriage will soon be going off air. The show boasted of some big names, Shweta Tiwari, Sanjeet Bedi, Suhasini Mulay, Abhinav Shukla, Ami Trivedi.

However, the strong subject failed to generate the required response from audience and lagged behind in the TRP charts, which had earlier forced the channel to shift the show from the prime time slot of 10 PM to an early evening slot of 6.30 PM.

The TRPs were improving after the show was shifted to the early evening slot. But now, the channel has decided to end the show. Jaane Kya will be ending on June 5th.

We talked to the lead of the show Sanjeet Bedi who seemed surprised to hear the news. "Actually, we are delivering better numbers now, and we have a nice story line going.. I have not heard about the show going off air; but if the news is true, then I would take it as the channel's prerogative and move on".

We tried contacting Producer Siddharth Malhotra, but since he is out of the country he asked us to talk to the Creative Director of the show, Sharad Raj.

However, Sharad Raj refused to comment on this.

Our source though is certain that the show will shut shop on June 5th. Our efforts to get a confirmation from the channel were in vain.

Well, in the midst of stiff competition to gain numbers, yet another show bites the dus

Bandhan Saat Janmon ka is going off air ??

If sources are to be believed then Colors’s Bandhan Saat Janmon Ka is going off air by mid June. The show enjoyed a good TRP for a brief period of time but suddenly the viewers started losing interest in the show and the show started losing its TRP. Now that the show isn’t working, the channel has decided to shut down the shutters. We called up the lead of the show Gunjan and she said, “I have no idea about it. I have no clues about show going off air.” In fact she was surprised on listening such news and was asking us that where have we got this news from? Writer of the show, Sampurn Anand too denied our sources report, “I have no such intimation from the channel as of now but if I get to know something I would definitely inform about it.” The crew of the show maybe denying the news but according to our sources the news is confirm, but it is yet not decided that which new show will replace it.

Saat Phere to go off air on May 22nd..

It's just been few weeks since Zee's Saat Phere, produced by Sphere Origin took a leap introducing a whole new set of new generation actors. But now, there is bad news coming for the entire unit as the show is tipped to go off air on May 22nd.

Confirming our news, Producer Sunjoy Wadhwa says, "Yes, it is true that Saat Phere is going off air in the third week of May". When asked him about the leap introduced recently, he quips, "Ya, I know. But even after all this, the show is winding up".

We called up Ali Merchant whose entry in the show has been really short lived. But the actor got a shock when we gave him the news, and said, "Is it? I do not have any confirmed news though I have heard that there is a possibility. I cannot say anything till I get an official confirmation from the channel or production house".

Ask him what is in store for him next, and Ali states, "If this show is going off air, I have one more venture to bank on. I will soon be returning in Sahara One's Ghar Ek Sapna. Let's see what more is in store".

Now, spare a thought for the two new faces Rachana Parulkar and Aamrapali who had just begun their journey of playing Saawri and Shweta respectively!! A nation wide audition had given them this very coveted role, and as they say the future of daily soaps is really unpredictable and the girls have faced just this…

If sources are to be believed, Ekta's Pavitra Rishtha will be replacing Saat Phere at the 9 PM slot. As reported earlier, Pavitra Rishtha has Ankita Lokhande playing the lead. "After Kasamh Se ended, Ekta wanted to regain her slot of 9 PM on Zee, and it looks like she will be successful in getting it in the days to come", concludes our source.

With long-running shows Dulhann and Saat Phere ending, let's see whether Zee gains in numbers, courtesy their new shows...

Dulhann to end on May 22nd...

Zee's Banoo Main Teri Dulhann, produced by Shakuntalam Telefilms has been at the receiving end for quite a while now for the dip in its story line, but the news of Sharad Malhotra leaving the show and Kamya Punjabi's illness seem to have forced the channel and production house to call it a day.

May 22nd will be the last episode of Dulhann. The news has been informed to the entire unit.

An actor on terms of anonymity confirmed this news and said, "Yes, the show is ending on May 22nd. It will be a happy end and viewers will be pleased to watch it".

The future episodes will see Bharat throwing Amar, Divya and their kid out of the house. He will go on to name the house as Sindoora Nivas which will be a feather in the cap for Sindoora. However, the last track will have a big twist wherein Sindoora hatches a plan to separate Amar and Divya, and Divya is ultimately left alone.The climax is pretty interesting and the viewers need to watch whether Amar and Divya unite or not.

Today happens to be the last day of shoot for Sharad Malhotra on the sets of Dulhann. Recently the actor had talked about his future plans and had also revealed that he will be there in the show till April end.

However, Viewers will be seeing Amar till the last scene of the show. To know more you will have to watch the climax of this pure love story.
