'It was my choice to quit the show'- Rati Pandey

The sweet, cute, chirpy character of Indian television and Miley Jab Hum Tum fame of Star One, Nupur speaks to her fans being herself, expressing her 2 years journey on the show, the remorse on her exit and much more exclusively with us...

How has been your journey in MJHT ?
The entire journey has been awesome. The experience that I have gained from this show has been outstanding. The character of Nupur was like a dream role for me because it was more of like me. The role was very entertaining. Though I was a bit apprehensive about the role my producer incited a lot of confidence in me.

How much would you miss the sets of MJHT?
Definitely miss the sets but not that much because I haven't left the sets in anger instead I have moved ahead gaining lot of knowledge and I'm still a learner so I would miss very sweet memories of the show but don't wish to get carried away in emotions.

How much can you relate to the lively,chirpy character of Nupur?
Not much because Nupur as a character was very confident, bubbly where her phrases weren't taken seriously so I'm very thankful to the creative's that they gave me such scenes where I could prove the strength in my character through different transitions and shades at regular intervals.
So I think Rati Pandey as a person is also equally confident as Nupur.

How much would you miss your on screen partner Mayank aka Arjun Bijlani?
As I said I won't miss any one that much because all memories are cherished. It's like I have done my job and now I'm all calm and relaxed.
So I would like to convey this to my fans too don't be upset just be practical and understand that Nupur's character had just that much to serve and it was also what the story demanded.
Even though we actors were told that none of the characters would die but before shooting the accident scene I was informed that my character will die. It was equally shocking news for me too but I was anyways planning to leave the show and it would have been more shocking and heart throbbing news if I would have walked out. But it was totally creative's as well as my decision and I got a very good opportunity to walk off. I found it to be the safest time to go so I approached my creative's and said if one character has to die let that be me.

But why in first place you wanted to leave the no.1 show on television?
I would say that I only think about myself so if I think that I had that caliber, that potential and I'm not getting an opportunity to showcase it then better quit. For me everything had been extracted from Nupur's character and how much could it be exaggerated.
I tried interacting with the creative's to inform them that I was a bit uncomfortable enacting certain tracks and I feel they have taken the right decision. And I feel this is the best turning point till now.

But along with you the other three characters are also long going so why just you very evicted?
I truly accept that but they wanted to kill the most popular character and by god's grace I have received immense popularity through this show and I'm thankful that all you people loved me so much. And I want all my fans to smile because it just the character that has died not Rati Pandey. And I bet you no one can replace Nupur and let her be as a legend.
And I'm confident that in my future projects I'll surely prove myself and beat the character of Nupur as well. I want you to remember Nupur but move on with Rati.

Are you satisfied with the present track of MJHT?
(laughs) Frankly after my last episode on the show I haven't followed it that much I have just watched 2-3 episode of season 2. I would just like to wish all the luck to the new comers and hope this show gets more successful.
I do not like the present track much but I'm happy that season 2 is happening because of Nupur. And from the audience point of view though the TRP's have gone up but I feel something missing in the track.

So do you look forward for a comeback?
I can't predict about that because the future is very uncertain.

Fan's have been very hurt by the creative's decision so what's your take on it?
I know the fans have been hurt it was shocking news. When I saw the episode and even while enacting it I had tears in my eyes. The last shot when I look towards Mayank in red saree it was a one take shot and my director and close friend Ravi's eyes also got wet. But I don't want my fans to get aggressive.

The channel had also conducted some voting poll so what's your take on it?
I have never believed in voting polls I have heard about it but haven't visited the website personally. Still I feel voting systems are all myth at the end of the day personal luck and hard work is what works.

Fans even feel that channel has manipulated the votes?
As per my knowledge they never plan anything as such so I can't comment anything on that but even if they have manipulated the voting system then I apologies on their behalf. But I don't think audience should have gone for this voting poll.
But I'm thankful to all my fans who voted for me and made me the most popular character but believe me even if Nupur would have been alive there would have been no thrill in season 2.

Fans feel that Nupur was the charm of the show and as you are not part of the show they won't view it anymore?
Firstly thanks for the compliment and secondly it's completely audience decision to watch it or not. But I would say give your good wishes to new comers also because I too was new comer once.

There was even a rumor that the creative scripted your exit because of your dictating terms on sets?
(smiles) if it's so then I would like to wish all the luck to the person who has spread this rumor as I feel he/she is more concerned about the show.

What's your take on your exit from the show?
I'm very happy and convinced and truly respect the creative's and channels decision. I didn't want to stretch Nupur's character further than this it has been 2 years though it was a pleasure I feel it was high time. And I feel it is for the betterment of myself too.

We had a word with your co-actors they too are quite upset with your exit so what's the message for them?
I have gone through 'n' number of mails and after going through all of them I feel I have the craziest fan and I have even received abusive mails so it's a request to my fans that please don't get so aggressive.
And for my co-stars I would say it's my personal and professional life and the decision has been taken under mutual understanding and there's no other reason apart from it.

Did you ever imagine that fans would show such kind of remorse for you?
I had never imagined that my fans would use such harsh language on my exit and my character is appreciated so much. And I get touched when my fans call my 'Dii' (sister) like I have just become an idol for them so please stand by me at this juncture too.

What was the reaction of your family members?
I have always treated them as my audience and never disclosed my storyline to them so they were equally shocked when they saw the last episode and my mother was very upset because no parent could even imagine their child's death but they believe in me and my talent and are all supportive.

So what's next now?
As of now I'm very chilled and relaxed and I'm going abroad with my family for a month's break and I don't wish to take any hasty decision. And I have been getting lots of offers from the time of MJHT but in future I would like to work in show which would be more individualistic and doesn't portray too many leads (smiles) so that I can portray my caliber again.

Message to fans.
I'm really touched and overwhelmed by the fact that audiences have appreciated Rati Pandey as much as they have appreciated my character of Nupur. You have understood me as a person so I feel I have got intelligent group of fans. So thank you so much for loving me so much and always stand by me because you are my strength.

Siddharth Shukla Happy with New Ayesha!

As per the recent reports the character of Ayesha of Star One’s ‘Jane Pehchane Se Yeh Ajnabbi’, essayed by Aditi Tailang has been replaced by Sanjeeda Sheikh. It was a creative decision to replace the lady as she had some cold vibes with her co-actors. This was considered as a barrier to good love chemistry which was important for the story line. And now after the replacement or rather after the new entry of a new co-star, we called Siddharth Shukla (Veer) to know his stance.

Siddharth very happily said, “I am enjoying the new company as Sanjeeda is a great co-actor and always spreads laughter around the sets. As she is very jovial person who can mingle with anyone with out any grudges, it makes me feel more comfortable to work with her. It’s fun to be with her and I’m totally enjoying her company.”

Siddharth goes on as he could not stop himself by saying, “she is not the one who mixes all her personal and professional life and keeps everything separate.”

Well Siddharth did you mean that Aditi lacked all this qualities which was the reason to replace her? In any case, only Aditi knows the whole story, isn’t it?

Abhinav bids goodbye to his love

Abhinav Shukla has always loved bikes. He is a self-confessed motor-bike fanatic. For him there's nothing more pleasing than a good long ride in his bike.

However, a recent haphazard incident made him sacrifice his love.

Abhinav tells us, "During an expedition to Sangli I met with an accident. I took it as a sign for me to slow down things. So I'm not pursuing my love for bike-rides as much as I'd like to."
Abhinav truly has a passion for getting down and dirty. He says, "I'm a rough guy. In my free time I like to do mechanical work in my garage."

In fact he is so rough he likes to keep it au naturel. He says, "I don't even bother about my looks, seriously. I just go as it is."
Inspite of this, Abhinav gets characters that are too polished. He says, "Yes, I always get roles like MBA pass NRI returning to home-country etc. It's funny."

In fact, in his upcoming show Geet on Star One, Abhinav plays an NRI who comes to India on a quest for his perfect life-partner. "I play an NRI who returns to India, just like the scores of Punjabi boys who even after studying or being raised entirely abroad, come to India to get married to a simple Punjabi girl. The character is not completely grey."

Well, maybe taking up this new show will keep Abhinav so busy that he won't pine for his 'love' after all…

It’s not quite the same for KSG-Jennifer

Life has the uncanny knack of bringing estranged mates together. Karan Singh Grover was earlier linked with Jennifer Winget. The duo now faces each other again on the sets of Dill Mill Gayye. However, their equation isn’t the same again.

The moment Karan made a comeback to the show, all wondered whether he’ll be able give his best with Jennifer still around the show? And, will the two put aside their past and gel as professionals?

A little birdie from the sets, informs, “Jeniffer Winget and Karan Sign Grover are behaving very normally. Looking at them, you get an impression that nothing happened between them. They are behaving in a very professional manner. Though, there is very little communication between them once the camera is switched off.”

Adding further, the source says, “Earlier, they used to giggle, play pranks with each other and enjoyed every single moment. Though, they still have their funny moments, both ensure that it’s within limits.”

Hmm! Will the two remain apart or will history repeat itself? Only time will tell.

Karan Singh Grover is finally back to Star One's Dill Mil Gaye. And here is Karan talking exclusively to us on his return to the show, on the probable track ahead, his future plans and much more…

How is it to get back to Dill Mil Gaye?
It's really awesome to be back. I'm just so astonished to see that the crew has built such a huge set for my comeback episode. I feel like I have come back home after a long time. All my prayers and your prayers have been answered (smiles). So I'm back.

When did you decide to make a comeback to the show?
My come back on the show was confirmed even before my exit episode. But only the exact episode wasn't decided. We've been working on the story-line for quite sometime, and now finally we mutually decided that this is the right time for me to come back.

According to reports, you were in talks with the channel and production house from a long time, and you were to get back exactly during Riddhima and Sid's marriage. Why did that not happen?
Actually at that time there were lot of speculations about my come back. But if I would have entered at that time then there wouldn't be anything new happening. So we thought that when Riddhima fosters some feelings for her husband (Sid), that will be the right time for her true love (Armaan) to come back. This would create real drama.

How is it to get back working with your co-stars in Dill Mil Gaye?
It's a great feeling to get back. But not all are there from the previous batch except for Jennifer (Riddhima) and Pankit(Atul). We all have been friends for a long time now, and I hope they also come back on the show.

What do you have to say about the new interns who are now part of the show?
I have met the new interns too. They all are a cool bunch of people and they have done a fantastic work on sets during my absence, and I hope it continues.

Are you aware that your fans sent out a huge petition to the channel and production house to get you back?
Yes, I'm very much aware about it. I have been receiving lots of messages on personal level through social networking sites like facebook, my personal blog site. Fans have even posted letters at my house, even the Cinevistaas team has been informing me of it. I'm really touched to know that my viewers missed me a lot. And trust me I really wanted to come back too.

Explain to us Armaan's comeback track or scene.
Basically, now that Riddhima is married to Sid, she has also started liking him. But after Armaan's comeback there would be a love triangle happening. As a character I don't blame Riddhima for her choice because, as I was away for a long time, she was left with no option but to move on. The further story is not yet decided, but we can always say that we like to show what the viewers like to see.

Viewers will no longer see Armaan and Riddhima chemistry as Riddhima is now married. So what is your take on this.
In television industry or any industry for the matter of fact, the producer always tries to deliver what the audience likes and wants at the end of the day. So if the viewers want to see Riddhima and Armaan's on screen chemistry, then let's just hope for the best.

So does it mean we will see sparks flying between Riddhima and Armaan now?
See, actually nothing is yet decided, but surely there would be a love triangle happening. And Armaan and Riddhima's love story or their feelings for each other is like never-ending in DMG.

Is it true that you have signed for Zara Nachke Dikha the reality on Star Plus? Will you be hosting it or taking part as contestant. Confirm.
Aah..! That's a suspense though (smiles). Dancing has become my new passion these days, even though I'm not that good at it. Still I'll be taking part as a contestant in the show and not hosting it this year. However, the channel hasn't confirmed that to me yet.

What were you doing in your break?
For the last five months, I have just been vacationing in Goa and Delhi. This is the longest break I have taken since the last four and half years. I have been busy with DMG, Jhalak Dikhlaja and Zara Nachke Dikha. It has been non-stop work for me for a long time. So it was a much needed break.

Why did you plan to get back to DMG and not take up a brand new show?
DMG is very close to my heart, the youth spark in this serial just keeps me attached to it. I have put all my heart and efforts to give my best to this show. And I have always been telling my viewers that if I do television, then I'll surely be doing DMG; it's not that I'm not open to other offers but DMG would be my first priority.

Do you really feel that Armaan-Riddhima chemistry is much more than what Riddhima-Sid chemistry is?
If I say anything right now then it would be a very biased answer. I think we should leave it the audience to decide. (giggles)

Will you also want the show to end with a Riddhima Armaan union, just like your fans feel?
I would like the show to have a happy ending. Hopefully it doesn't end very soon. Ya, it is true that a happy ending leaves one with a happy feeling. And people like it that way.

Tell us about the ups and downs in your personal life? How is life after filing for divorce with Shraddha?
I think every person has some ups and downs in their lives and I tried dealing with it the best way I could. I understand that my fans are concerned and care about me and want to know more of it. But at the end of the day, it's my personal life and I want to keep to myself.

What are your future plans when it comes to television?
I don't plan anything, I just accept life as it comes. Right now there's lot of things happening around, DMG and Zara Nachke Dikha Season 2. So I'll be busy again all day long.

Is it true that the Bollywood movies that had come to you are not happening now?
They are not happening now. We have re-scheduled everything, I can't give you exact dates as of now but they have been postponed.

What are your plans when it comes to Nicole and your apparent relationship?

What is your message for your Fans?
Guy's, you'll are the coolest people in there. I have read almost all the blogs and messages that you people have sent across. In fact my Dad and family members read a lot of it on regular basis. I'm really touched by all your messages and as I always say, "I'll keep entertaining you as long as you'll continue loving me".

Dr. Atul no longer part of Dill Mil Gaye...

Pankit Thakkar aka Dr. Atul was one of the oldest faces in Star One's Dill Mil Gaye who mingled well with the new blood that got into the show few months back. But the latest news from the sets is that Pankit is no more part of the show.

Dr. Atul was shown along with the new interns as he had earlier failed to complete his internship. His character provided some fantastic comic relief, and his jodi with Dr. Anjali (Sunaina Gulia) gathered lot many fans.

According to our source, "Dr. Atul will not be seen in Dill Mil Gaye now. The tracks that are expected will see some high drama scenes, and it was a creative decision to drop the character of Dr. Atul from the show. The story will now focus on Sid (Karan Wahi), Riddhima (Jennifer Winget) and Armaan (Karan Singh Grover) chemistry.

When contacted, Pankit confirmed the news and said, "Yes, I am no longer shooting for the show".

We tried calling Palki Malhotra of Cinevistaas, but she remained unavailable.

Ekta Kapoor to launch a show on Star One..

Balaji Telefilms and Star have had a long running association which started more than a decade ago.

But with Star Plus deciding to end Ekta's long running shows Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi and Kahaan Ghar Ghar Ki, the rapport between them got sour. And as we think that the channel has put the final nail in the coffin by ending Ekta's only two shows airing on the channel, Tujh Sang Preet Lagayi Sajna and Kis Desh Mein Hai Meraa Dil, the news is that Ekta is already planning to launch a big show, this time on Star One.

According to our source, "Ekta and the channel have already started the audition process for the new show to launch on Star One. The serial is adapted from the very popular novel Twilight which was also made into a movie. The production house wants to get a fresh new cast for the show, and this will be one of the major projects on Star One".

As per our source, "Star One has made a deal with the organizers of IPL, and they will be promoting their new Star One shows during the IPL season. Promos of their upcoming shows, Odhani Rang Badalti Jaaye of Yash Patnaik and Geet of Endemol will be aired during IPL, which will be followed by a huge promotion for the Ekta Kapoor show. The show is expected to launch sometime after IPL".

We tried calling Ekta Kapoor, but she remained unavailable. We could not get any answer from the Star Officials too.


What with the first move being taken, we can now expect Ekta to come back on Star Plus too in the near future...

Jas Karan at his romantic best...

Jas Karan Singh had a valid reason to go missing from Star One's Miley Jab Hum Tum for few days!! Well, the actor who got married to his girl friend of five years Ashwini Vala on December 25th in a private ceremony, had been to Goa with his pretty wife for their honeymoon.

Talking about his honeymoon experience, Jas told us, "We have just got back from our exciting honeymoon trip in Goa. I resumed shoot for my show Miley Jab Hum Tum yesterday. We were there at Goa for a good eight days. Everything was so beautiful out there".

Ask Jas Karan about his plans for their first Valentines' Day post marriage and he said, "Well, I have just now returned to work. But I can't resist asking for a day's off on February 14th (smiles). I will plan something really big for my wife if I get an off. I will surely present her with loads of gifts. If I don't end up getting an off, I will take her for a nice romantic dinner after my pack up".

Well, he seems to be the perfect romantic hubby that a girl would dream to have!!

Dr. Armaan back on Dill Mill Gaye!

Star One’s most loved show- ‘Dill Mill Gaye’ is trying to gain back public interest by revolving the story around its most famous character- Dr. Armaan which was played by Karan Singh Grover.

Is it because the new interns are not fetching much attention and no couple is able to revive Armaan-Riddhima chemistry? Whatever the case maybe, it seems that the dice that creative teamed rolled to gain TRPs have worked in their favor. The track has managed to catch eyeballs.

Last episode saw Dr. Armaan on-screen after a long time, so was it actor Karan himself? Well, certainly not, it was a file footage that was used. But the use of file footage implies that creative team is definitely hinting towards a comeback of Dr. Armaan in near future.

Jennifer Winget aka Dr. Riddhima says, “I have no clue about his return on show, according to me he may not comeback but then you never know if he comes back. Everything is decided by production house.”

So, as of now the status of Dr. Armaan’s comeback in ‘Dill Mill Gaye’ is entirely in the hands of creative team.

Karan Tacker tipped to play lead in Yash Patnaik's show on Star One..

Star One's revamp program will start soon, with their first promo on the change in programming line-up hitting the television sets in few days' time!!

As reported, Geet produced by Endemol will take the place of Love Ne Mila Di Jodi, which will be ending on February 26th. The other show waiting in the wings is Yash Patnaik's love story which was earlier titled Paheli. The show has got its final title now in Odhni Rang Badalti Jaaye.

As reported earlier, Yashshree Masurkar who was seen in Zee Marathi's Lakshman Resha will play the female lead. The latest is that one of the faces of Love Ne Mila Di Jodi, Karan Tacker will in all possibility be finalized as the male lead.

According to our source, "Auditions were on for a long time to find the main guy. The channel and production house have few options under their belt, but Karan Tacker has almost been finalized for the role".

When contacted, Karan Tackertold us, "Yes, talks are on. But no decision has been taken yet. If I get to know anything, I will surely let you know".

We tried calling Producer Yash Patnaik, but he remained unavailable.

As reported earlier, Swapna Waghmare Joshi will be turning Producer with this show. And the very popular composing trio Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy will be scoring the title music for the love story.

The shows which will in all probability survive the revamp on Star One are Miley Jab Hum Tum and Jaane Pehchane Se Yeh Ajnabee.

Two new entries in Miley Jab Hum Tum..

Star One's Miley Jab Hum Tum, jointly produced by Sunshine Productions and Endemol will soon see the entry of two youngsters, who will bring with them a new twist to the tale.

Nishant Malkani, a degree holder from the IIM, Kolkata is the new parallel lead entering the show. Along with him, will be seen Anupriya Kapoor, who was earlier selected to play the role of Kanchan in Balaji's Sony show, Bayttaab Dil Kee Tamanna Hai.

According to our source, "Adhiraj and Suhaani (Nishant and Anupriya) will be the new entrants to the college. Their main agenda in getting into the college during the mid term of the year and their back stories will unfold as the track progresses. Adhiraj and Suhaani's entries will happen one after the other, and soon they will become friends and will be the next couple to look forward to in the show".

Elaborating on their characters, our source informs "Adhiraj aka Nishant Malkani will be a mix of Samrat and Mayank and will possess the positive qualities of both. He is a very good looking guy, who comes from a small town. He is traditional in his values, but is another cool dude in the making. On the other hand, Suhaani is a NRI, who has come from abroad to join the college. However, she will be seen wearing traditional dresses, yet will be punky and vivacious".

When contacted, Nishant Malkani confirmed his entry, and said "Yes, I have shot for the promos, and will be starting shoot in the next two days. I am a Delhiite, but have done by Management Course in Kolkata. This is my first show on television. I am really excited to be a part of this show".

Anupriya Kapoor also confirmed that she has been finalized for the role. "All is final, but we have not yet finished the paper work. We will be starting shoot soon", she said.

According to our source, "As the track unfolds it will get revealed that either Adhiraj or Suhaani will be related to Samrat in some way or the other".

Nishant and Anupriya Kapoor will be starting shoot in a day or two, and their entries will be aired sometime next week.

Pregnant pause for Avni

Star One’s Love Ne Milla Di Jodi is ready for a major twist this week as the whole house gears up for the marriage between Damini (Chandana) and Prithvi (Gaurav).

“All the members of the family are relieved, after Damini finally agrees to marry Prithvi and are making most of the occasion when suddenly, Avni begins to feel sick and giddy,” chirps the source.

Every one is tensed of what happened. “Immediately a doctor is summoned who after examining her declares, Avni is pregnant! This brings all of them especially Damini at stand still as she hears the news,” adds the source.

“The brother suspects for Sameer though Damini too has the idea about their relationship. Definitely after this there are chances of the revelation of Avni and Sameer’s secret marriage too but when and how is yet to be decided,” concludes the source.

We called Avni aka Parmeet Chauhan to know further but she states, “We have not yet shot for the sequence so I don’t have idea of what will happen further.”

There were speculations about the show going off air. “Even I had received called for the same but truly speaking I don’t have idea about it so its better you contact channel. I just know that there is lot more to come in the show,” she concludes.

So viewers you can expect lot of drama in the coming episodes of the show and hope this twist boost the ratings of the show too.

Riddhima not sure about her come back in DMG

Jennifer Winget aka Dr Riddhima of Dill Mill Gayye is very much gloomy as being linked up with Karan Singh Grover. We called her to know of whether she is planning to return back to the show or not.

“I don’t think so I will return back in the show but cant say! If it is written in the script, than it may be that I may make a come back in DMG,” Jennifer said annoyingly.

When moved further with the chit chat, she quips, “Please, lets not talk about that show but instead of DMG, I would like to speak on my upcoming comedy show ‘Teen Ka Tadka’ were I am really going to be seen in a new avatar and I am happy doing it.”

Well, Jennifer has left us with the questions that, Will Dr. Riddhima (Jennifer Winget) and Dr. Armaan (Karan Singh Grover) will make a come back? Or either of the two will be replaced by some another Dr. Armaan or Dr. Riddhima?

Ajay Balhara in Star One's Kya Yahi Pyar Hai…

Star one and Cinevistaa's forthcoming show, another love story titled Kya Yahi Pyar Hai, (loosely based on Hollywood flick Maid in Manhattan), will feature Ajay Balhara as parallel lead.

Finally, the channel and production house has zeroed in on their female lead, and it is new comer Aditi who's debuting with this show. As reported earlier, Siddharth Shukla of Babul Ka Aangann fame will essay the role of the male lead.

Ajay Balhara who was earlier seen in Imagine's Radha Ki Betiyaan Kuch Kar Dikhyayengi confirms the news and says, "Yes, I will be portraying the character of Rajdeep, a General Manager of the hotel. He is a very charming, suave and well-educated fellow who always carries a smile on his face. Most of the people would like him!"

According to our source, "The story basically revolves around new comer Aditi. She plays an underprivileged girl who only has her six year old nephew who she can count on. She tries to bring him up with all the love and care. But she realizes that she needs to go out and get a job to handle things financially. She gets a job in the hotel where Rajdeep aka Ajay Balhara is the General Manager and Veer aka Siddharth Shukla is the owner of the hotel. This is how the three separate lives coincide."

We spoke to Palki Malhotra, Fiction Head, Cinevistaas who said, "I cannot say anything on the show until a formal press conference is organized by the channel."

If sources are to be believed, previously, Neha Jhulka and Gunjan Walia were approached for the role of the female protagonist. But it is now bagged by newcomer Aditi. Also, the shooting will begin around next week and the show will be launched in the month of October.

Dr. Atul educates all about Swine Flu...

Star One, the only channel with a medical show on air, Dill Mill Gayye, has decided to educate the audience about swine flu and the ways of preventing it.

Special scenes have been scripted whereby Dr. Atul (Pankitt Thakkar) will be seen comforting Sparsh ( Iccha of Uttaran ) and her friends who are currently in Sanjeevani hospital for treatment. The kids are afraid that they might contract the dreadful disease from their friends. Dr Atul briefs the children about how not to be afraid of swine flu and what measures they should take to keep the infection at bay . He also stresses on the importance of maintaining high standards of personal hygiene to mitigate the fear amongst children on swine flu.

Kya Yehi Pyaar Hai: Desi version of Maid in Manhattan!

Star One and Cinevistaa is coming up with a new show called Kya Yehi Pyaar Hai, very soon with a unique love story. With this show Siddharth Shukla who rose to fame as Shubh in Babul Ka Aangan Chootey Na is making his comeback as a lead again.

“It’s going to be more or less on the lines of Maid in Manhattan where you learn that the bigger your dreams, the better the chance they might come true. Yes Siddharth has been finalized to play the lead, where he will essay the role of an hotelier, a filthy rich guy with the correct attitude,” says the source from the production house.

Talking about the female lead, our source adds, “We have short listed few names in which the prominent ones are Gunjan Walia of Betiyaan and Neha Jhulka. Though the hunt is still on for the same, but if we are not able to get any good face, we may take either of the one.”

“The shooting for the show has not yet started as we are yet to finalize the full casting. The hunt is going on a fast track as we are planning to come on air by October,” concludes the source.

We called Gunjan to confirm the news. “I am out of town,” was the reply from the actress, while Siddharth was unavailable for any comments.

Kya Yehi Pyaar Hai audience ka bhi for this show, well that would be decided once it comes on air. For now keep watching this space for more information on the same.

Mayank Anand's 'Love from the Sidelines'...

Mayank Anand, Dr. Rahul in Star One's Dill Mill Gayye is on cloud nine these days, as he has finally managed to get a publisher for his book.

Talking about this, Mayank says, "Yes, my book will be published in a month or two. It will be published by Lead Start Publications under the banner of Frog Book. The title of the book is 'Love from the Sidelines'".

When asked him about the great feeling, the actor quips, "It's an awesome feeling to get your first book published. I am now working on the cover page with my designer. We have jotted down many ideas for the cover, one of them being that I put one of my paintings there. But we have not decided on anything yet".

The buzz is that Mayank's contract with the popular show Dill Mill Gayye is about to end. When we asked him about the future of Dr. Rahul, he states, "Yes, it is true that my contract with them is getting over. However, I don't have any idea on the status of my character. But I think that I will continue with them".

Celebration time for Dill Mill Gayye

Dill Mill Gayye on Star One has all the reason for celebration, as the show has successfully completed its 400 episodes and is still going strong. With this, the show puts all the speculation at rest of it going off air.

Talking about the success Jennifer states, “In this competition where new shows are just coming one after the other, DMG has been consistent. Though I have not been from the start, but would like to congratulate the whole team of the show.”

“I feel proud to be associated with such a good show and will see to it that I do justice to my role in the show, and take it forward,” she adds further.

When asked of what surprise is stored for the viewers in the coming episode, she quips, “Well I can’t divulge much about what’s going to happen. All I can say, in the coming episode Riddhima will lose her cool and will partially reveal everything about their past. What happens next is something to wait and watched.”

So viewers get glued to your TV sets to see some more drama between Armaan and Riddhima as the show goes on. We congratulate the team of DMG on their success so far.

The biggest turning point for Samrat, Gunjan, Mayank and Nupur is arriving.. Watch out for it..

The confused and love-struck Mayank cannot suppress his feelings anymore and confesses his love for her on stage during the final act of the play. Not believing what she had just heard, Nupur realizes that Mayank's proposal is for real and not an improvisation of the play. As the saying goes, "Love finds its way", even Nupur cannot hold herself back and confesses her feelings for Mayank and both surrender to love. The audience cheers and applauds them for their brilliant performance, not knowing that the love has finally blossomed.

On the other hand, Sheena who is jealous of Samrat's chemistry with Gunjan puts forth a condition and asks Samrat to choose between love and friendship. High on rage, Sheena gives him time only till the end of the play to make his decision. Stuck between love and best friend, Samrat is in a dilemma. Gunjan, who is shocked to know about it, keeps her feelings aside and decides to convince Samrat to agree to the condition. Gunjan unlike herself does not want Samrat to loose out on true love.

Sandeep Rajora in Love Ne Mila Di Jodi..

Sandeep Rajora who played the lead in Kareena Kareena and was last seen in Jhoome Jiya Re will be entering Star One's new show launching tonight, Love Ne Mila Di Jodi, produced by Shakuntalam Telefilms.

We had reported earlier that there will be a love triangle seen between Prithvi (Gaurav Khanna), Damini (Chandana Sharma) and another guy as the story moves on. Sandeep will be playing the role of Inder who happens to be the fianc of Damini.

Confirming this news, Sandeep said, "I play Inder who is cast opposite Damini. The character is very positive; he is the perfect lover boy, who is classy and flamboyant".

When asked him about the track, he said, "I can't divulge much, all I can say is that my role is long running and is also very important to the story line. My entry has been shot in a real cool and classy way".
