A source from the production house says, “We got really good responses and the channel got a fair amount of TRPs for the show too. Then we went for a seasonal break. Now, we have started shooting for the second season. We had the technical rehearsals on April 14th and April 15 was our first day of the shooting.”
With the excellent responses, Star Plus has decided to air the second season as soon as possible. The source adds, “Keeping in mind the feedback, the channel has been keen to air season two. We are not sure about the timeslot as of now, but it would be great to get a similar one to the first season.”
But Star Plus has already launched a new show, Chehra, in Aap Ki Kacheri’s old timeslot last month and the other primetimes are also occupied. The only slot to be filled is that of Kayamath, which has wrapped up, at 11pm as no new show has been launched at that time.
The Aap Ki Kacheri crew will be shooting at the same location in Filmcity where season one was shot for. The source adds, “As of now, we will shoot for 14 episodes. We are going to shoot for at least four continuous days with Kiran Bedi.”
Though it was initially set for just 30, Aap Ki Kacheri aired 42 episodes in its first season due to its popularity. On the reality show, common people come with their families to sort out personal issues with former policewoman Kiran Bedi, who acts as mediator.
